Additional, Michael became CEO in 1998 and a stockholder in 1995
of an insurance and risk management corporation in southern Louisiana.
He doubles the profits of the firm within five years, while specializing
in the most complex land-based and off-shore risks.
During Michael's tenure as CEO he secured, from
one of Lloyds of London's largest brokers, approval to work daily
inside their Marine and Reinsurance Divisions, thus gaining first-hand
knowledge of inner workings within the London insurance markets
in order to better serve his clients with the placement of complex
marine accounts.
In the past, Michael was a participating member
of the Aetna Insurance Company's "Agents' Advisory Counsel".
He also served on the Association of General Contractors (AGC)
Insurance and Surety Bonding Advisory Committee for the State
of Louisiana. In 1993, Guarantee Mutual Life Company featured
Michael in their Annual Report for his innovative design of a
unique life insurance policy for Avondale Industries, Inc., Louisiana's
largest domicile employer. The policy is still being utilized
throughout the United States.
In April 2004, Michael sold his interest in this
firm and moved to Destin, Florida where he still enjoys a close
working relationship with the individuals who make up the companies
he has represented.
